Since it’s beginning in 1967, Sperino’s Little Italy, the Pizza Room, Monte Carlo Room and Accustom Catering continue to be independently owned and operated.

Sperino’s Little Italy restaurant celebrated its grand opening in 1967 under the restaurant’s namesake, Sperino Maiale. Sperino’s Little Italy became known for its original homemade pizza and Sicilian Italian cuisine. Sperino retired in 1976 and his nephew, Carlo Ippolito, purchased the business. Carlo, wife Angie and family operated and nurtured the original restaurant for the next 21 years. Carlo expanded Sperino’s Little Italy by offering carry out and delivery service.

The Ippolito’s grew the business further by adding the Pizza Room. Soon after opening, the Pizza Room became known for the flat rate ALL-U-Can Eat homemade Pizza Party for groups of 20 to 75 for any occasion and a popular stop for pizza, pasta, and sandwiches in a casual atmosphere. Sperino’s Little Italy continued its growth to become Walworth County’s leader in homemade Italian pizza and traditional Sicilian Italian cuisine offering dine in, carryout, and delivery.

The Monte Carlo Room, a complete wedding reception and banquet facility was added in 1988. It is a premier banquet facility, centrally located in Walworth County. The Monte Carlo Room soon became the “wedding” reception hot spot in the area. With the Monte Carlo Room came Accustom Catering, serving American, Italian, and Continental cuisine both at the Monte Carlo Room and at off premise locations.

Carlo retired in 1997 and sold the business to Chris Aune. Chris brought 20 years experience in the banquet food and beverage, hospitality, and resort management business. Today, Chris continues the “family” tradition with wife, Sherry, and three sons operating Sperino’s Little Italy, the Pizza Room, carryout and delivery business with the successful original recipes Sperino’s became known for.

The Aune family, along with their staff, take pride in operating the Monte Carlo Room and Accustom Catering. The Aune’s have continued to grow the banquets and catering side of the business with promotion, personalized planning, and professional service. Menu planning, production, and presentation are given top priority as well.

Weddings continue to be our “specialty” at the Monte Carlo Room, and we enjoy tending to your every detail to assist in making your wedding reception a joyous memory. The Monte Carlo Room offers a variety of wedding package choices to meet your needs and budget. The Monte Carlo Room has also become a popular host to many banquet breakfast, lunch, and dinner events, meetings, seminars, and parties.

Accustom Catering has a well respected reputation and is proud to offer catering services from simple drop off menus to full service plated or buffet menus with china and linens. Accustom Catering has been host to countless off premises wedding receptions, company cookouts, family celebrations, chartered cruise boat menus, hors d’oeuvre reception, and home parties.
